tripti shukla, Creature conserve scholarship recipient

“My interest in wildlife conservation bloomed during my post graduation at TERI University, Delhi. It was there that I was introduced to the word 'Sustainability' along with a wide range of subjects. I wasn't sure if I wanted to devote my career to a particular species... or to the local people. Their traditional art and culture for nature conservation has always intrigued me and now it is reflected in my work. With a scholarship from Creature Conserve, I launched my project ‘Vanwasi-Aadiwasi’ where I'm researching and documenting their traditional practices and how they support the protection of wildlife. I work as an art educator and use art as a creative medium to teach school kids about nature conservation. I am also helping women build sustainable livelihoods based on nature conservation.”
