PAST WORKSHOP: WRITING TO CO-EXIST WITH ANIMALS

$100.00

SATURDAY, FEB 10, 2024 | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET

Taught by fiction writer Susan Tacent, poet Chris Kondrich, and scientist/writer Dr. Lucy Spelman.

This workshop is for writers interested in creating emotionally charged, solution-oriented work inspired and informed by science and relevant to the healthy existence of all animals—including humans. The instructors will offer participants a combination of science presentations, craft discussions, writing exercises, and group critiques. This is a generative workshop. Our goal is for each participant to either create new work or gain insight into revising existing work.

For writers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction at all levels of experience interested in incorporating scientific themes and facts about animals and human-animal relationships into their creative process.

One full-day instructional session with the option to send written work to the instructors for feedback.
